"I never have enough time."
"I am eternally behind."
"I feel like I am always playing catch up."
Singer/songwriter Damien Rice captures it simply: "Time, always time; on my mind."
Lent is an invitation to slow down. As the days lengthen and brighten, our temptation is to cram more and more into the longer days. Lent asks us to resist and to instead slow down to the pace of God that we might pay attention, receive what we need, and not race past what matters most. This week in worship, Rev. Crawford will reflect on the virtue of patience and how it shapes us into the people God calls us to be. Human patience is grounded in divine patience and the God we worship is slow to anger, quick to forgive, and abounding in steadfast love. Slow down, friends. God is here.
